Without God everything is pointless
I believe in God the Father Almighty, Creator of heaven and earth. For me, faith means that I have the certainty that God really lives, rules the world and loves us humans, but also that one day I will have to give an account of my life. So the statement “Believing means not knowing” doesn’t apply to me. I have had the most important experiences of my life with God, I value him as a loving father who I can come to at any time, and I never want to lose him again. This is especially true in times of illness and distress. I therefore invite everyone to try it for themselves and take God at his word. He actually wants to give us a meaningful life now that lasts forever.
Jesus is the only way to the Father
And I believe in Jesus Christ, his only begotten Son, our Lord, who died for all people. The Bible, God's Word, says clearly that there is no other way, and it also says that this path is narrow and narrow and unfortunately only a few take it. People cannot come to God on their own because they are separated from him by their sin. Because God is just, someone had to pay this debt. And because God loves us infinitely and wants to save everyone, his own innocent Son did this for us with his sacrifice on the cross. This atonement basically applies to all of humanity. Everyone can therefore accept this gift of forgiveness and have fellowship with God, purified by Jesus’ blood. This is the only thing that will survive even our death.
The Holy Spirit gives both will and action
I believe in the Holy Spirit. It is impossible for us to become all-round good people pleasing to God on our own. The attempt to control my bad tendencies and character defects (the Bible calls this "flesh") through a kind of "self-sanctification" is futile in the long run. I can never win the battle against sin or the devil alone. Only when I recognize this, declare to God that I am completely bankrupt and give myself completely and unreservedly to him, can and will he help powerfully. When we surrender control of our lives to Him and sincerely ask Him to do so, He gives us a new heart and “power from on high” with the Holy Spirit.
We are already saints on earth
I believe in the holy Christian church and the communion of saints. Because we died with Jesus Christ and were born again by God's Spirit, we are no longer under the dominion of sin. Of course we can still sin, but we no longer have to. God longs for a people who are holy, i.e. belong to him, who love, worship and obey him. And because we can't do this ourselves, he wants to use his spirit to prepare us accordingly, if we just let him. God's people should be recognized by their unfeigned love, their kindness and their good deeds, so that other people will also be attracted and his kingdom will spread.
As redeemed we have eternal life
I believe in
the forgiveness of sins, resurrection of the dead and eternal life.
Accepting God's gift is the all-important first step. Put aside your pride, your
self-righteousness, your impenitence. Return to God - he is your true destiny!
Let Jesus Christ promise you the forgiveness of all your sins, let him save you!
The thief (murderer) on the cross next to Christ had no chance of making amends
for any of his wrongs, and yet Jesus assured him that he would still be with him
in paradise today. Throw away all reservations and make your peace with God! Not
everything ends with death. After the resurrection, our life with God will never
end. And there will be no more suffering or crying, because God has made
everything new. What a perspective!
